The Scott Hudgens Companies – McGinnis Crossing – Suwanee, GA
As part of the McGinnis Ferry Commercial Center located near the Chattahoochee River in Suwanee, the 100,000-square-foot plus McGinnis Crossing retail center is just one of the numerous retail developments designed for Mall of Georgia developer, The Scott Hudgens Companies. This center, is home to such retail establishments as Publix and Blimpie's.
DCG provided full construction plans for the project including site layout, design of the storm drainage, sanitary sewer, stormwater management and water distribution systems, comprehensive grading design, earthwork analysis, and erosion control plans. In addition to engineering services provided for the McGinnis Crossing retail center, DCG also handled the master planning, boundary surveying, construction staking, and application to the Atlanta Regional Commission for Development within the Chattahoochee River Corridor as required by the Metropolitan River Protection Act.

Cadillac Fairview… Stonecrest Mixed-use Development, DeKalb and Rockdale Counties, GA
The 900-acre Stonecrest mixed-use project has set the pace for “smart growth” in the metro Atlanta area by providing a live-work play concept in prosperous south DeKalb County. The development includes a: 1.3 million-square foot mall; 700,000 square feet of mixed use development with big-box retailers, hotels, and office space; and a 312-acre residential development.
The two-level hybrid mall, which is anchored by Rich's, Sears, J.C. Penney, Parisian and Dillard's, was developed by Toronto-based Cadillac Fairview and Cleveland-based Forest City Enterprises. The single-family residential development was developed by Stonecrest Atlanta, LLC.
DCG began work in 1989 and has provided a full complement of professional services. DCG serves as the Surveyor of Record for the mall property and the majority of the mall's outparcels. DCG has also provided land planning, marketing plans and engineering design for the peripheral properties
Engineering design services for The Parks of Stonecrest, the 312-acre, 700-single-family-lot component of the Stonecrest mixed-use development, include: land planning; full construction plan preparation and permitting; roadway design; comprehensive grading design with earthwork analysis; erosion control plans; and design of storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water distribution systems. Land surveying services include: boundary surveys; topographic surveys; construction staking; post-construction surveys; and preparation of Final Plats.
