Shortly after providing the civil engineering and land surveying services for its first project with DR Horton in 1999, DCG demonstrated its ability to meet DR Horton’s scheduling demands and was added to its “preferred engineer” list. Since then, DCG has been able to show DR Horton that it can provide the quality of land planning, civil engineering and land surveying services DR Horton needs to turn undeveloped land into buildable lots, and buildable lots into homes.

Since 1999, DCG has provided professional services for DR Horton in the following jurisdictions in Georgia: The City of Atlanta, and DeKalb, Douglas, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Houston, Newton, Paulding, Rockdale, and Troup Counties. Services provided include: site research and feasibility studies; rezoning and variance assistance; land planning; house-fit plans; boundary and topographic surveying; civil engineering and construction plan preparation; recreation area design, entrance area design; stormwater management and water quality Best Management Practices design; floodplain and floodway management; record drawing and survey plat preparation; and permitting with local, state, and federal agencies.

One such project is The Park and Preserve at Haynes Creek in southern Gwinnett County, Georgia – a 210-lot conservation subdivision on 92 acres with more than 42 acres of open space. Collectively, DCG has provided land planning, civil engineering, and / or land surveying services on more than 4,100 lots and designed nearly 63,000 linear feet of roadway on more than 2,500 acres of residential development projects for DR Horton.

For nearly 18 years, beginning with its first project for Richport Properties in 1989, DCG has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to assign experienced professionals to all phases of the engineering design and land surveying phases of each project, identify development challenges during the engineering design phase, rather than during construction, and produce plans that are a true representation of that which can be constructed.

Since 1989, DCG has proudly served Richport Properties in DeKalb, Gwinnett, Jackson, and Morgan Counties. Services provided include: site research and feasibility studies; rezoning and variance assistance; land planning; historic preservation services; boundary and topographic surveying; civil engineering and construction plan preparation; recreation area design; stormwater management and water quality Best Management Practices design; floodplain and floodway management; record drawing and survey plat preparation; and permitting with local, state, and federal agencies. Collectively, DCG has provided land planning, civil engineering, and/or land surveying services on nearly 1,100 lots and designed nearly 40,000 linear feet of roadway on almost 700 acres of residential development projects for Richport Properties.

One notable project that DCG designed for Richport Properties was Old Suwanee, in Suwanee, Georgia. Old Suwanee was a 2001 recipient of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s prestigious Development of Excellence Award. The project provides 121 neo-traditional units on 29 acres adjacent to the City of Suwanee’s old town district.
